Come and see why the Kruger National Park is so highly rated for its wildlife sightings and diverse landscapes.
This 5 day Kruger Park Safari includes return transfers from Johannesburg, very comfortable bungalow accommodation inside the Kruger Park with dinner and breakfast included and 3 full days of gameviewing in an Open Safari Vehicle.
Your experienced and knowledgeable guide has a passion for the bush and will endeavour to make your safari a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Also included in your safari is a sunset game drive or night drive with Kruger Park rangers that extends into the night, allowing you to see nocturnal animals, as well as a morning bush walk, a true sensory experience that brings you so much closer to nature.
The Kruger National Park is South Africa’s largest and most visited game reserve, and home to the famous Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros. Spread out over more than 2 million hectares, this pristine wilderness area offers the best year-round game viewing that South Africa has to offer. It is a truly remarkable destination. The Kruger National Park has over 20 different camps and a number of safari lodges situated in private concession areas. Adjacent to Kruger are a number of private game reserves that share unfenced boundaries with Kruger, creating one of the largest conservation areas in the world. Because of its exceptional size you can experience amazing diversity – from the scenery and ecosystems to the correspondingly amazing array of animals, trees and birds. Kruger has the largest variety of mammals of any national park in Africa. It is without doubt South Africa’s top safari destination and a trip to the Kruger National Park is an unforgettable and potentially life changing experience.

Itinerary
DAY 1
REST CAMP IN SOUTHERN PART OF KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Bungalow – Dinner, Bed & Breakfast
Departing from Johannesburg early in the morning we drive along a scenic route to the entrance of the Kruger National Park. Here we transfer to a specially designed open safari vehicle. Game viewing begins as soon as we enter the gates, and we look for giraffe, zebra and various antelope species on our way to the camp, where we arrive by sunset. Dinner will either be prepared by your guide or our dedicated chef, or may be enjoyed in the camp restaurant. Fall asleep to the sound of hippos snorting or lions roaring in the distance.
Accommodation is based inside the Kruger National Park at one of the most popular camps in the game-rich southern section of the Kruger National Park. The exact choice of camp will depend on availability. Most often, we use either Skukuza or Lower Sabie Camp, both of them overlooking the Sabie River. Sometimes we might use other camps like Pretoriuskop or Berg-en-Dal, also situated in the south of the park.
Included : Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, Road Transfer from Johannesburg, Open Vehicle Game Drives
DAY 2
REST CAMP IN SOUTHERN PART OF KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Bungalow – Dinner, Bed & Breakfast
This morning we wake up early to explore the Kruger Park on foot in the company of an armed Kruger Park ranger. Your itinerary may include either a morning walk or afternoon walk, depending on availability (maximum 8 people per walk). A bush walk is designed with safety as the top priority, and the focus is on appreciating the smaller wonders of the wild. It is not compulsory and if you would prefer not to walk or are unable to walk much, we can also substitute the bush walk with a game drive (same cost). Relax around the pool during the midday hours, and then mid-afternoon we head out on another game drive in our comfortable open safari vehicle, looking for wildlife. Enjoy a delicious dinner, expertly prepared by your guide or by our dedicated chef.
Included : Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, Bush Walk, Open Vehicle Game Drives
DAY 3
SATARA REST CAMP, CENTRAL KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Bungalow – Dinner, Bed & Breakfast
Today we travel through varying landscapes as we make our way to a different camp. We can either use the morning game drive to get there, or take a relaxed full day drive and arrive at our new camp during the afternoon. Game drive times are very flexible and will depend on the conditions on the day, the animal movements, and your interests and preferences. We don’t stick to fixed times or a rigid structure and we can make the game drives as long or as short as you like, within limits (the limits being gate opening and closing times, allowing time for breakfast, and considering the wishes of the entire group).
Satara Camp is situated in an excellent game viewing area, with the bush relatively open and the animals plentiful and diverse. The camp is surrounded by huge grass plains which are crossed by rivers at regular intervals. The plains attract game, which in turn attracts predators. Satara is well wooded and the birdlife is prolific. The camp has a wonderful lawn in front of the restaurant and cafeteria where you can relax and watch game at the waterhole on the other side of the fence.
Included : Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, Open Vehicle Game Drives
DAY 4
SATARA REST CAMP, CENTRAL KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Bungalow – Dinner, Bed & Breakfast
We embark on another early morning game drive in the Kruger National Park in search of animals. While looking for wildlife we may visit waterholes, lookout points and beautiful picnic spots, stopping at regular intervals so you can stretch your legs. We may return to camp for breakfast, but the program is flexible. On some winter mornings, we might have breakfast before departing on our morning game drive. At other times, we may enjoy breakfast along the way, at a picnic site in the bush, before returning to our camp around lunchtime. You can spend the midday hours relaxing at the pool, browsing through the curio shop or enjoying a siesta. Late afternoon we head out on a sunset drive with one of the Kruger Park’s rangers, continuing after dark with spotlights to look for nocturnal animals. We return to camp at around 8pm for dinner. Alternatively, instead of a sunset drive we might do a night drive after dinner (this depends on availability).
Included : Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, Sunset Drive, Open Vehicle Game Drives
DAY 5
END OF SAFARI
This morning we head out on a final early morning game drive. If we are lucky we may see wild dogs or another rare animal that we have not seen before. After breakfast, it is time to pack up and start heading back toward the gate, where we swop over to our air-conditioned minibus for the drive back to Johannesburg. We normally arrive back in Johannesburg between 5 – 6 pm, depending on the traffic. We can also drop you in Nelspruit on request, at around 2 pm. If you are continuing to another destination, such as a safari lodge in one of the adjacent private game reserves, this can be arranged and you will be collected at the gate. If you have an onward flight that same evening, please inform us so we can keep that in mind. Please do not book an international flight departing before 9pm in the evening on your last day.
Included : Game Drive, Return Road Transfer to Johannesburg
