Gonarezhou National Park, situated in the south eastern lowveld of Zimbabwe, is part of the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park and Zimbabwe’s second largest game park covering more than 5,000 sq. kms.
It is a very scenic area with rugged and beautiful landscapes of which the red sandstone Chilojo Cliffs are one of the most prominent and well known features. There are three major rivers that flow through the park, the Save, Runde and Mwenezi which add to both the scenic value and the attraction for the abundance of large and small game.
Accommodation consists of eight self-catering thatched lodges and a campsite with ablution facilities in Mabalauta Camp. Chinguli and Chipinda Camps have camping sites with ablution facilities and there are eight other undeveloped camping sites with minimum facilities in other parts of the park.
