Moremi Game Reserve is one of the richest wildlife areas in Africa including abundant birdlife and a diversity of trees and plants.

Located 2 hours north of Maun in northern Botswana and covering an area of nearly 5,000 sq. kms, Moremi Game Reserve forms the eastern tongue of the Okavango Delta, combining diverse aquatic and savanna habitats and offering the visitor a truly magnificent wildlife experience. These habitats include river channels, swamps, seasonal floodplains, islands, lagoons, aquatic vegetation, beautiful tall riparian woodlands, grassland, savanna woodlands and sandveld.

The roads can be difficult to negotiate in the rainy season and the game is more dispersed at this time of year. However, the summer birdlife and verdant vegetation are big bonuses and this is also the time when most grazers produce their young attracting predators that take full advantage of easy meals.

There are a few luxury lodges in Moremi Game Reserve and many private campsites for Mobile Tented Safaris. A visit to Moremi can be combined with Luxury Lodges in the Okavango Delta as well as destinations that include the Khwai Concession, Savute, Linyanti, Chobe Riverfront, Victoria Falls, Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Nxai Pan National Park and the Makgadikgadi Pans.
