Khutse Game Reserve is located directly below the Central Kalahari Game Reserve with which it shares a common border and is about 3 hours drive north of Gaborone. It covers an area of 2,500 sq. kms and comprises many large pans that attract a variety of big game during and after the summer rains. Wildlife in Khutse Game Reserve includes a variety of antelope, giraffe, jackal, lion, leopard, cheetah and brown hyaena. There are artificial waterholes at Moreswa and Molose Pans to assist the survival of game during very dry periods.

Khutse Game Reserve has many roads that skirt the pans allowing you good gameviewing in this open terrain. Campsites are found at most of the large pans from where you can sit and view game. The campsites are similar to those found in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve with no water or facilities except long drop toilets and bucket showers.

Khutse Game Reserve is a popular destination amongst visitors and residents of Gaborone but can also be included on a safari through the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.
